MALIBU, Calif. (AP) -- Kyle Bailey scored 25 points to lead Santa Clara to an 83-71 win over Pepperdine Saturday night.
The win stretched Santa Clara's winning streak to four games and Pepperdine's losing streak to four.
Travis Nielsen scored 14, and Daron Perkins and Ethan Rohde had 12 apiece for the Broncos (11-9, 4-1 Big West Conference).
Santa Clara made 11 of 21 3-point attempts (52.4 percent) and forced 19 Pepperdine turnovers that led to 29 points.
Pepperdine (12-9, 2-4), which trailed 29-27 at halftime, started the second half with a 12-4 run to take a 39-33 lead with 15:50 remaining, but Santa Clara answered with nine straight points on four consecutive possessions to take a lead it would never relinquish.
The Waves stayed close until Santa Clara later went on a 15-4 run, capped by three consecutive 3-pointers by three different players.
The spurt stretched Santa Clara's lead to 10 at 69-59 with 5:18 left, and Pepperdine couldn't get within single digits the rest of the way.
Alex Acker led Pepperdine with 21 points, and Chase Griffin had 13.
