MURRAY, Ky. (AP) -- Trey Pearson and Keith Jenifer each had 17 points as Murray State ran away from Tennessee State 82-74 Saturday night.
Charles Johnson and Darnell Hopkins had 12 points apiece for the Racers (10-6, 5-1 Ohio Valley Conference).
Kareem Grant's 17 points led Tennessee State (9-11, 4-2 OVC), while Bruce Price scored 14 points and Eric King chipped in 12.
Murray State took a 44-34 lead at halftime and extended that lead to 14 in the second half after Hopkins hit a 3-pointer with 11:04 left to play.
Tennessee State climbed back when Rod Flowers added a jumper to pull to 60-55 with 8:28 remaining.
But the Racers would extend their lead back 12 with 3:50 to play on another 3-pointer by Hopkins.
