PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Phil Goss hit five 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 21 points to lead Drexel to a 76-55 win over Colonial Athletic Association-rival Towson on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.
The Dragons (9-6, 5-1 Colonial Athletic Association) pulled away late in the first half with a 12-3 run to take a 46-25 lead at halftime. Drexel, which won its fifth straight, shot 62 percent from the field and hit six 3-pointers in the first half.
Danny Hinds hit a 3-pointer with 10:16 remaining in the first half to give Drexel a 22-12 lead, its first double-digit lead of the game. Hinds was 2-for-2 from 3-point range and finished the game with 12 points.
Forward Sean Brooks added 11 points for Drexel and Dominick Mejia also scored 11 points off the bench.
The Dragons outscored Towson (2-5 CAA, 5-12) 42-24 in points in the paint. Brooks' dunk with 13:43 remaining in the game gave Drexel a 62-31 lead, its biggest of the game.
Mike Green scored 16 points for the Tigers, who shot 35 percent from the field and were 4-of-14 from 3-point range for the game.
