BOSTON -- Chaz Carr scored 17 points as Boston University shot 58 percent from the field and beat New Hampshire 79-63 on Wednesday for its sixth straight home win.
The Terriers (13-5, 7-2 America East) picked up their 10th straight victory over New Hampshire (6-12, 2-7) and sent the Wildcats to their 12th defeat in 14 games.
Boston U. opened the second half with a 9-0 run, but New Hampshire scored the next 10 points and tied the game at 46 with 13:03 left.
Carr buried a 3-pointer on the Terriers' next possession to ignite a 20-6 run that put the Terriers ahead for good. Bryan Geffen hit a pair of 3-pointers and Rashad Bell's basket with 6:00 left gave the Terriers a 66-52 lead.
The Wildcats led by as much as 29-21 in the first half, but BU answered with a 11-1 run and led 37-36 mat halftime 37-36.
Ben Sturgill led New Hampshire with 18 points and Blagov Janev added 17 points.
Bell scored 16 points, Geffen added 13 and Shaun Wynn chipped in with 10 points for Boston University, which hasn't lost a home game to New Hampshire since 1994.
