BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) Alan Daniels scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Lamar to a 92-74 victory over Nicholls State on Wednesday night.
Daniels was one of five Lamar players who scored in double figures. Jason Grant scored 16, Raymond Anthony had 13 and Jeremy Long and Teddy Davis each added 10.
Wille Depron led Nicholls State (6-12, 1-6 Southland Conference) with 21 points, while Jason Wilkens added 20.
The Colonels, who fell to 0-9 on the road this season, shot just 33 percent from the floor. Half of their attempts came from behind the arc, where they hit 28 percent of their 3-point shots.
Lamar (11-6, 3-3) shot 45 percent from the floor. The Cardinals improved to 10-2 at home.
