HOUSTON (AP) Tulane's Taylor Rochestie hit a jumper with just 2.1 seconds remaining to defeat Houston 63-61 on Wednesday night.

The home loss was the first for Houston (12-8, 3-3 Conference USA) under first-year coach Tom Penders. It also marked the first road win in 19 games for Tulane (8-10, 2-5), which entered the game 0-6 away from home this season.

Rochestie, who played all but two minutes, led Tulane with 13 points and six assists. The Green Wave dominated on the boards, outrebounding Houston 52-30.

Both teams shot just 36 percent from the floor. Tulane defeated Houston despite giving up 27 points off 26 turnovers.

Andre Owens led Houston with 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting. The Cougars struggled at the foul line, shooting just 52 percent.
