ATLANTA -- Bobby Dixon scored 22 points and Eddie Baker added 20 to help Troy beat Georgia State 84-73 on Wednesday.
The Panthers (8-11 overall, 5-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) led 24-19 with seven minutes left in the first half, but Troy responded with a 19-3 run to lead 38-27 at halftime.
Corey Hornsey, who had 18 points, helped the Trojans (9-11, 7-4) to its largest lead of 18 in the second half.
Georgia State closed the gap to 72-66 with 2:15 remaining. Troy then made eight straight free throws and put the game out of reach.
Malcolm Manier scored 22 points and Kevin Thomas added 10 for Georgia State. Marcus Brown had 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
