HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) Mark Wilson scored 22 points to lead High Point to an 88-72 win over VMI on Wednesday.
High Point (10-10, 5-2 Big South) got hot in the second half, sinking 60.7 percent of their shots after leading 41-40 at halftime. High Point rolled up 28 points off turnovers.
VMI stayed in the game by sinking 12 of 17 free throws in the second half.
But the Panthers held VMI (5-11, 0-6) without a field goal in the last 3:42.
High Point's Danny Gathings scored 16 points, Jerry Echenique added 13 and Zione White had 11.
Reggie Williams led the Keydets with 24 points. Matt Coward added 14.
