CHICAGO (AP) Anthony Smith and DaJuan Gouard scored 14 points apiece Wednesday night to lead Loyola of Chicago to a 71-50 Horizon League victory over Youngstown State.
The Ramblers (6-13, 4-5 Horizon League) also got 11 points and seven assists from Blake Schilb and 10 points from Kou Majak.
Loyola held a 34-19 lead at halftime and Youngstown State failed to overcome that deficit in the second half.
The Ramblers shot 51 percent shooting from the field while holding Youngstown State to just 40 percent.
Youngstown State (3-16, 1-8) guard Quin Humphrey led all players with 20 points, but the only other Penguin in double figures was Zach Silverman with 10.
