HOUSTON (AP) -- Joseph Martin scored 19 points as Alabama A&M rallied late to force overtime and beat Texas Southern 78-76 on Saturday night.
Alabama A&M (9-9, 6-2 Southwestern Athletic) trailed by nine points late in the second half before tying the game with 1:10 left in regulation.
Texas Southern's Bobby Cole made a layup with 10 seconds left to give the Tigers the lead, but the Bulldogs' Marcus Jones answered with a jumper with four seconds remaining to force overtime.
Obie Trotter added 15 points for Alabama A&M.
Texas Southern (5-11, 3-5) was led by Jacques Jones, who scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
