PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) -- Ralfeal Golden scored 22 points as Alabama State defeated Prairie View 59-50 Saturday night.
Alabama State (8-9, 6-2 Southwestern Athletic) won its third straight game and improved to 2-5 on the road.
Oscar Thompson scored 21 points for Prairie View (3-15, 3-5).
The Hornets were able to overcome poor free throw shooting as they hit 22-of-47 from the line.
The Panthers, however, could not take advantage as they shot 31 percent from the floor (18-for-58).
Alabama State's Jermaine Smith scored 13 points and Alexander Oliver added 12.
