PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Steve Danley recorded a career high for the second straight game, scoring 22 points to lead hot-shooting Penn to an 83-60 victory over Brown on Saturday night.
Eric Osmundson had 18 points and Ibby Jaaber 16 for Penn (9-7, 2-0 Ivy), which hit on 33 of 52 shots in winning its fifth straight.
Jason Forte had 15 points, all in the second half, and P.J. Flaherty 11 for the Bruins (8-8, 1-1), who were playing their eighth straight game on the road.
The Quakers missed their first two shots of the game, then made eight in a row, including 3-pointers by Osmundson and Jaaber, to take a 21-7 lead.
After Brown closed to 23-14, Danley scored eight points during a 10-0 Penn run, and the Quakers went on to a 44-23 halftime lead.
Penn shot 19 for 25 in the half, led by Danley, who had 17 points and made all seven of his field goal attempts.
Brown went on a 16-7 run at the start of the second half, including seven points by Forte, to rally within 51-39 with 12:57 left in the game. But a 13-4 spurt by Penn pushed the lead to 76-51 at the 4:28 mark.
Brown won both games last season against the Quakers, but Penn still holds an 89-18 edge in the all-time series.
