HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Drake Diener scored all 18 of his points in the second half to lead DePaul past Southern Mississippi 70-48 on Saturday night.
The Blue Demons (13-5, 5-2 Conference USA) shot 53 percent from the field and won their eighth in 10 games.
Diener, a cousin of Marquette guard Travis Diener, hit two 3-pointers during DePaul's 12-1 run to open the second half.
Quemont Greer had 13 points and Sammy Mejia added 10 for the Blue Demons, who have won four of five and two straight against Southern Miss.
It was their last scheduled meeting in Conference USA play. DePaul moves to the Big East next season.
Rashaad Carruth led Southern Miss with 16 points. Mildon Ambres had 12 and David Haywood added 10 for the Golden Eagles (10-9, 1-6), who lost for the seventh time in eight games.
Larry Eustachy was ejected for the first time as the Golden Eagles' coach. He was called for two technical fouls with 11:59 remaining.
