CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) -- Emanuel Dildy scored all of his 22 points in the second half as Eastern Illinois beat Jacksonville State 66-63 on Saturday.
Dildy and the rest of the Panthers (8-11, 3-5 Ohio Valley) were quiet in the first half, shooting 9-31 as a team. The poor shooting allowed the Gamecocks (4-16, 0-8) to take a 33-23 halftime lead.
But a 14-4 run that started with eight minutes left in the game gave the Panthers a 62-58 lead.
Jacksonville State's Tim Lewis, who finished with 15 points, missed a three-pointer that would have tied the game with a few seconds left.
Two Gamecocks had double-doubles. Brandon Davis led the team with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Anthony Wilson scored 13 points and had 13 rebounds.
Jacksonville State has now lost 14 straight.
