LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Matthew Knight scored 10 of his 15 points in the first half as Loyola Marymount beat Pepperdine 63-46 Saturday night in a West Coast Conference game.
Wes Wardrop added 12 points and Charles Brown chipped in 11 for the Lions. Daryl Pegram got nine points and eight rebounds.
Alex Acker led Pepperdine with 11 points.
After a 7-2 spurt, Loyola stretched out a 13-point lead to kick off the second half but Pepperdine retaliated with a 9-2 run and eventually shaved the Lions' advantage to five points with five minutes remaining.
Loyola responded with a 7-0 run, capped by a layup from Brown with 2:17 remaining.
The Lions ended the game on a 13-3 stretch.
Loyola (10-10, 2-5) snapped a five-game losing streak while the Waves (12-10, 2-5) have now lost five straight.
Loyola made 12 of 19 shots from the foul line, while Pepperdine made 11 of 23.
Loyola outrebounded Pepperdine, 41-39, and the Lions had 16 turnovers to the Waves' 18.
