COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) --Milan Clark scored 19 points and pulled in six rebounds as Tennessee Tech beat Tennessee St. 71-50.
Tennessee Tech (12-7, 7-1 Ohio Valley Conference) opened the game with a 13-2 run capped by Anthony Fisher's layup with 13:29 left to play.
Tennessee St. (9-13, 4-4) pulled to within six, 21-15, on a 3-pointer by Reiley Ervin with 8:13 in the half.
But the Golden Eagles answered with a 9-0 run that put them on top 30-15 with 3:18 left and led 36-21 at halftime.
Tennessee St. never got closer than 10 points the rest of the game.
The Golden Eagles held the Tigers to 28 percent shooting from the floor, compared to Tech's 48 percent.
Eric King led the Tigers with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
