RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Donnell Allick had 23 points and Paul Millsap 20 to lead Louisiana Tech to an 80-65 upset over Western Athletic Conference leader Texas-El Paso here Saturday night.
The win was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs (10-8, 5-4) and ended a three-game winning streak for the Miners (17-4, 7-2), who had entered the game with the most victories of any league team.
Allick had his second highest scoring game of the season, going 5-of-14 on field goals, including a trio of 3-pointers.
Millsap also had a game-high 16 rebounds, and shot 6-of-10 from the field. Millsap, the WAC rebounding leader, also blocked six shots.
Omar Thomas led UTEP with 23 points, while Jason Williams scored 17 and Miguel Ayala 10.
Tech also ended a five-game losing streak against UTEP.
The Bulldogs finished with a 39-37 rebounding advantage.
