NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Trey Guidry scored a game-high 24 points and Vince Greene chipped in 20 as Illinois State beat Bradley 69-62 Saturday.
The Redbirds (16-6, 8-4 Missouri Valley) missed both their free throw attempts in the first half but shot 19-of-23 from the foul line after the break.
Marcellus Sommerville had 23 points and led Bradley (11-9, 4-8) in rebounds with seven. Sommerville's three-pointer in the second half started a 9-2 run that brought the Braves to within one point, but Illinois State held fast for the win.
Greene was perfect from the foul line, scoring eight of his 20 points on free throws. Teammate Ronnie Carlwell had eight points and five rebounds in only 12 minutes off the bench.
