NEW YORK (AP) -- Jason Forte scored the winning basket with 3.2 seconds left and Brown rallied for a 54-52 victory over Columbia Saturday night.
Forte, the Ivy League's leading scorer, missed all six of his field goal attempts in the first half. He scored 13 of his 15 points in the final 12:35 for the Bears (9-9, 2-2).
Dragutin Kravic led the Lions (12-7, 3-3) with a game-high 16 points. Jeremiah Boswell's 3-pointer rimmed out at the buzzer for Columbia, which led 27-16 at halftime.
Brown held a 45-41 lead but Columbia tied the score at 52 when Brett Loscalzo hit a 3-pointer.
Forte, who made only three of his first 15 shots from the floor, then hit the game-winning jumper.
Damon Huffman had 11 points and P.J. Flaherty 10 for the Bears. Matt Preston added eight points and 10 rebounds for Columbia.
