GREENSBORO, NC (AP) -- Brendan Winters scored 22 points, including five three-pointers, and Kenny Grant added 21 points to lift Davidson to a 78-69 win against North Carolina-Greensboro on Saturday.
Grant added eight rebounds for the Wildcats (15-7, 11-0 Southern Conference), which won its 10th game in a row and snapped the Spartans' 11-game homecourt winning streak.
Josh Gross led five Spartans (13-8, 6-4) in double-digit scoring with 18 points. Ronnie Burrell added his seventh double-double of the season and the 14th of his career with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ricky Hickman added 14 points and Kevin Oleksiak and Ray Bristow chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Spartans committed 17 first-half turnovers, which proved costly as Davidson took a 31-28 lead into halftime.
The Wildcats stretched the lead to 10 points with 14:07 to play on a 3-pointer by Jason Richards. The Spartans closed the gap to five less than a minute later on a pair of shots by Ray Bristow, the second a 3-pointer.
Davidson answered with an 11-3 run, with Winters accounting for five of those points, to take its largest lead to that point, 59-46. After that, the Spartans would not get closer than seven (68-61).
