CLEVELAND (AP) -- Omari Westley had 20 points, Raheem Moss scored 19 and Cleveland State rallied from a 24-point deficit to defeat Detroit 69-62 Saturday night.
The Vikings (8-11, 5-6 Horizon League) wiped out the Titans' lead by shooting 63 percent from the field in the second half. They went 8-for-9 from 3-point range following a 1-for-9 performance in the first 20 minutes.
After shooting 64 percent in the first half, Detroit (8-13, 5-6) hit only 29 percent of its field goals after halftime and lost its lead with a scoreless stretch that lasted nearly eight minutes.
The Vikings scored 15 consecutive points during the Titans' drought, turning a 55-41 deficit at the 12:17 mark into a 56-55 lead when Moss made two free throws with 7:10 remaining.
Detroit didn't score again until Ryvon Covile's layup with 4:44 left, giving the Titans their last lead at 57-56. Detroit equaled its largest lead at 49-25 with 18:52 remaining.
Cleveland State hit three 3-pointers during its 15-0 run. Westley had four points in the surge on two free throws and a jumper.
After four lead changes, Cleveland State went ahead to stay 63-61 on Mike Redell's 3-pointer with 3:08 remaining. Detroit failed to score after Covile made one of two free throws with 2:52 to play.
Brandon Cotton led the Titans with 17 points. Covile scored 11 and James Thues had 10.
