FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- Marcus Shropshire scored 19 points as TCU snapped a four-game losing streak with a 71-59 win over East Carolina on Saturday.
Nile Murry added 17 points for TCU (14-9, 4-5 Conference USA), which improved to 11-2 at home. The Horned Frogs trailed by two at halftime but scored 45 points on 54 percent shooting in the second half.
Mike Cook led East Carolina (7-15, 2-8) with 12 points and Corey Rouse pulled down 13 rebounds. But the Pirates, which fell to 0-9 on the road, shot just 35 percent from the floor.
It marked the eighth time this season TCU has held an opponent under 60 points.
