FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- Steve Sir scored 20 points and hit four of Northern Arizona's 10 3-pointers as the Lumberjacks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 77-64 victory over Eastern Washington on Saturday night.
The Eagles, who had won six straight against Northern Arizona, dropped their third straight game.
Sir scored five points during a 7-0 run early in the second half that broke a 39-all tie, drilling a 3-pointer and scoring on a backdoor layup on a pass from Ryan McCurdy. A Stephen Garnett layup gave the Lumberjacks a 46-39 lead.
Eastern Washington (7-15, 4-5 Big Sky) cut the lead to 52-49 with 9:43 left after a Matt Nelson basket, but the Lumberjacks went on a 9-0 run, capped by a Kelly Golob 3-pointer, to take a 61-49 lead with 8:01 left.
Sir hit four of six from 3-point range. Kyle Feuerbach added 17 points and hit four of eight 3-pointers, and Ruben Boykin Jr. scored 14 and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds for NAU (10-12, 3-6).
Marc Axton, who scored the Eagles' first nine points, led Eastern Washington with 22 points and nine rebounds, but hit just 6 of 16 field goal attempts. Danny Pariseau added 15 points.
