BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) -- Georgia State's Kevin Thomas had a 3-point shot that started a 13-2 run to pull the Panthers ahead for good and lead them to a 78-73 victory over Campbell in an Atlantic Sun Conference game Saturday.
Thomas finished with 13 points, 11 of them in the second half.
Marcus Brown led the Panthers (11-11, 8-6) to their third-straight victory with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Malcolm Manier had 16 points and five assists.
Maurice Latham led Campbell (2-19, 0-14) with 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting before he fouled out with 4:31 left. Four other players scored in double figures for the Camels: Diego Aguiar, 12 points; Colin Hunt, 11; and Jake Wohlfeil and Ruell Pringle, 10 apiece.
In a game where the lead changed seven times, Campbell used an 11-0 run to take a 57-50 edge on Wohlfeil's 3-point shot with 10:54 remaining.
Thomas got his 3-pointer five seconds later, and the Panthers never looked back.
In that 13-2 rally, Thomas canned a pair of triples and Manier scored five points.
Campbell cut the gap to 70-68 on Aguiar's foul shots with 3:00 left, but Georgia State scored at least one point on each of its next five possessions.
After Hunt's 3-point play trimmed the deficit to 76-73 with 6.6 seconds to go, Boyd Copeland hit two free throws for the final margin.
Georgia State led 39-38 at the half.
