SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) -- Anton Lyons scored 22 points and Tanoris Shepherd scored 21 in Idaho's 75-63 win over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Saturday night.
Lyons went 7-for-14 from the field and 8-for-10 from the line while Shepherd made five of 11 from the field and went 10-for-13 from the foul line.
Trailing 31-26, Idaho (8-14, 6-5 Big West Conference) scored the first nine points of the second half on its way to a 17-4 run, capped by a Dillon Higdon 3-pointer that gave the Vandals a 43-35 lead.
Idaho led by as many as 19 down the stretch. Cal Poly (4-16, 2-10) got no closer than 11 points in the final eight minutes.
Freshman Lew Finnegan led Cal Poly with 16 points and fellow freshman Joe Henry had 10.
The Mustangs have lost 10 of their last 11.
