LORMAN, Miss. (AP) -- Antonio Williams-Parker scored 20 points and freshman Charlie White had a double-double to lead Jackson State over Alcorn State 68-63 on Saturday night.
White had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers (9-13, 5-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who have won two straight and four of five.
Jackson State made nearly 44 percent of its attempts from the field, and was 14-of-30 shooting in taking a 37-27 halftime lead. Then, the Tigers held Alcorn State to 26.9 percent shooting in the second half.
Delvin Thompson had 17 points to lead the Braves (5-16, 4-6), who have lost four of five.
It was a sloppy game, with the teams combining for 55 turnovers and 54 fouls.
But neither team could take advantage at the free throw line. Alcorn State was 5-of-19 from the stripe in the first half and finished 22-of-48, while Jackson State was 12-of-24 for the game.
