NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- David Lee scored 24 points and Antonio Cool scored 10 of his 18 points during a 22-8 second half run as Jacksonville defeated Belmont 93-89 on Saturday.
Jacksonville (13-9, 9-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) trailed the Bruins (9-13, 8-6) 49-48 after a layup by Justin Hare with 13:08 left.
But Cool sparked the Dolphins, and Haminn Quaintance's jumper with 7:22 left gave them a 70-57 lead. Quaintance finished with 16 points.
Jacksonville nearly let Belmont back into the game after going 3-of-5 in the closing minute from the free throw line.
Hare's 3-pointer made it 91-89 with 8 seconds left, but Aubry Conerly, who scored 13 points, hit two free throws for the Dolphins with 2 seconds left to seal the game.
Hare scored 21 points to lead Belmont. Josh Goodwin scored 20 points, Jese Snyder had 17 and Brian Collins added 12 for the Bruins, who opened the game on a 9-0 run.
