WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) -- Alex Loughton scored a game-high 18 points to lift Old Dominion past North Carolina-Wilmington 74-63 Saturday in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup.
Kiah Thomas added 16 points, including 11-of-12 at the line, and Isaiah Hunter posted 12 points for the Monarchs (21-3, 11-1). Loughton added six rebounds.
Halston Lane scored 18 points and Mitch Laue had 12 points off the bench for the Seahawks (14-7, 9-2), who's four-game winning streak was snapped.
Hunter made a 3-pointer with 46 seconds left in the first half to put Old Dominion up 35-31 at the break.
The Seahawks closed the gap to two points early in the second half when Lane netted a 3-pointer with 17:39 remaining.
The Monarchs then scored eight unanswered points to push the margin to 10 points, with Brian Henderson's 3-pointer giving the Monarchs a 46-36 cushion with 16:08 left.
Lane hit the first of two free throws on a technical foul assessed to Hunter, but the Monarchs added five points on a 3-pointer by Valdas Vasylius and a layup by Loughton to complete a 13-1 run and give the Monarchs control the rest of the way.
