SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Blake Walker had 26 points and 10 rebounds in first-place Portland State's 71-66 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday night.
Seamus Boxley added 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Vikings (16-6, 8-2 Big Sky), who have won 12 of their last 14 games.
Jason Harris scored 21 points and Jameel Pugh added 19 for Sacramento State, which had won eight straight home conference games since Jan. 17, 2004.
Portland State built a 40-26 lead on Josh Neeley's basket with 1:47 left in the first half. The Vikings' full-court press held the Hornets to 6-for-29 shooting in the first half.
But Portland State missed its first 11 shots in the second half, and Sacramento State gradually rallied to tie the game at 62 on Pugh's 3-pointer with 3:01 to play.
But Walker's 3-pointer moments later gave Portland State the lead for good. The Vikings also made four straight shots in the last 13 seconds.
