HAMMOND, La. (AP) -- Jonathan Patton scored 16 points and helped Southeastern Louisiana hold Stephen F. Austin to only 28.6 percent shooting in a 54-33 victory on Saturday night.
Nate Lofton scored 13 points on 6-for-6 shooting from the field for the Lions (16-6, 8-1 Southland Conference), who led 33-13 at halftime. Jonathan Walker scored 10 points for Southeastern.
Taylor Moore scored 13 points for Stephen F. Austin (10-9, 4-4) on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, but proved to be the rare exception on his team. SFA shot 10-for-35 from the field for the game and the Lumberjacks got a third of their points on the foul line(11-of-14). Stephen F. Austin also turned the ball over 22 times.
Southeastern shot 50 percent from the field in winning its fifth straight game and ninth out of ten.
