DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Jahsha Bluntt scored 21 points to help Delaware State beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 71-45 on Saturday.
Bluntt also led Delaware State (11-11, 9-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) with nine rebounds. He was eight for 12 overall for the Hornets, including four for seven from the 3-point line.
Terrance Hunter contributed another 18 points for Delaware State, shooting three-for-five from the 3-point line.
Tim Parham led Maryland-Eastern Shore (1-19, 0-11) with 15 points. He also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Corey brown contributed another nine points for the Fighting Hawks.
The Hornets used a 19-7 run in the first half to reach a 36-25 lead at the half. Hunter nailed one of two free-throws to give Delaware State its biggest lead at 68-41 with 3:24 left.
As a team, Delaware State shot 52 percent from the field and were nine for 19 from 3-point territory.
It was Delaware State's seventh consecutive victory and the 17th consecutive loss for Maryland-Eastern Shore.
