TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Terrence Leather scored 26 points and Marlyn Bryant added 19 as South Florida beat Tulane 86-66 on Saturday night.
South Florida (10-10, 3-6 Conference USA) also got 12 points and 11 assists from Brian Swift in winning consecutive conference games for the first time in two years. The Bulls had a three-game conference winning streak in 2003.
Quincy Davis had 13 points for Tulane (8-12, 2-7). Marcus Kinzer, slowed the past four games by a right ankle injury, scored three points in 14 minutes.
South Florida, which missed its first 10 shots, rebounded from an 11-point deficit to take a 39-31 halftime lead. Leather had 11 points during the first half in becoming the 16th player in school history to reach 1,000 points.
Davis had eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers, as Tulane took a 16-5 lead.
Collin Dennis had six points during an 18-5 run that put South Florida up 57-36 with 12:45 left. Bryant scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half.
Tulane got within 14, at 73-59, on Taylor Rochestie's 3-pointer with five minutes to go. Leather then responded with two inclose baskets to make it 77-59 one minute later.
