RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Michael Doles led five Virginia Commonwealth players in double figures Saturday as the Rams beat Towson 84-61.
Virginia Commonwealth (12-9, 8-4 Colonial Athletic Association) never trailed. Doles, Jesse Pellot-Rosa and Renardo Dixon each had double figures as the Rams took a 45-30 halftime lead.
The Tigers (5-17, 2-10) lost their 24th consecutive CAA road game. Towson closed to 57-45 with 11:43 remaining but missed 13 of its last 15 field goal attempts.
Doles had 17 points, Dixon and Pellot-Rosa 14, Nick George 12 and Calvin Roland a career-high 11 points.
Lawrence Hamm led the Tigers with 16 points and Cantrell Fletcher added 12.
