ATHENS, Ohio (AP) -- Mychal Green scored 25 points and made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 24 seconds remaining, leading Ohio to an 89-85 win over Western Michigan on Saturday.
The Bobcats (12-7, 7-4 Mid-American Conference) rallied from a 12-point deficit behind Green, who scored seven of his team's final nine points. His big 3-pointer made it 87-85, giving Ohio its first lead since 2-0.
Ben Reed led the Broncos (15-7, 8-4) with 27 points and Levi Rost scored 20. Western Michigan led 62-50 with 15:27 to play.
Sonny Troutman had 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals for Ohio. Jeremy Fears added 11 points, eight assists and four steals.
Western Michigan was held scoreless after Reed's layup made it 85-82 with 2:03 remaining. Green pulled Ohio to 85-84 on a layup and 32 seconds later the Bobcats went ahead to stay on his 3-pointer.
After Reed missed a jumper for the Broncos with 21 seconds to play, Fears made two free throws to put the Bobcats ahead by four.
