CATONSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Shaun Wynn scored 13 points and Boston University beat Maryland-Baltimore County 61-51 Wednesday night for its sixth straight victory.
Chaz Carr added 12 points and Rashad Bell 11 for the Terriers (17-5, 11-2 America East), who improved to 7-1 all-time against UMBC.
Andrew Feeley led the Retrievers (9-13, 4-9 America East) with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Rashad Bilal scored 10 for UMBC, which shot 33 percent from the field and dropped its season-high fourth straight.
The Retrievers, who hit only 7-of-29 shots from the field in the first half, trailed 34-16 at intermission.
Wynn's basket with 10:23 remaining in the first half gave the Terriers a 16-12 lead and started a gamebreaking 16-0 run. Wynn had six points during the burst, which coincided with a 9:50 scoreless drought for the Retrievers.
Feeley scored the first and last baskets as UMBC opened the second half on an 8-0 run. The Retrievers got within 53-46 on Mike Housman's tip-in with 7:23 remaining in regulation.
But BU quickly responded with a reverse layup by Wynn and Etienne Brower finished off a 3-on-1 break for an 11-point lead with 6:13 to go.
After Housman's bucket, UMBC didn't score for the next 6:12, until a foul-line jumper by Feeley ended the dry spell.
