PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Dustin Salisbery scored a career-high 27 points to lead Temple past Dayton 78-70 on Wednesday.
Salisbery, whose previous career high was 21 points, hit his first seven shots, including four 3-pointers, and finished 9-of-11 from the field and 5-of-7 from the free throw line.
Mark Tyndale added 15 points and six rebounds and Antywane Robinson had 15 for Temple (11-9, 7-2 Atlantic 10), which had lost its last three games against Dayton.
Wayne Marshall chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds for the Owls, who shot 13 of 25 in the first half (52 percent) and finished 21 of 44 (48 percent). The Owls led 42-25 at halftime and increased their advantage to 63-37 with 10:55 remaining.
Trent Meacham scored 17 points and Brian Roberts and Marques Bennett added 14 apiece for Dayton (13-8, 6-4), which shot just 8-of-26 from the field in the first half. After falling behind 9-0, Dayton coach Brian Gregory substituted for all five starters.
