WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- David Teague got Purdue started with four 3-pointers in the first half, and Carl Landry dominated the second half to lead the Boilermakers past Penn State 77-50 Wednesday.

Teague finished with a career-high 25 points, including five 3-pointers, and seven rebounds, while Landry had 15 of his 24 points in the second half. Purdue (6-15, 2-8) ended a two-game losing streak by winning for just the second time in 11 games.

Penn State was led by Danny Morrissey, who scored all 15 of his points on 3-pointers. The Nittany Lions (7-15, 1-8) have now lost three straight and 10 of 11. They've also lost 29 straight Big Ten road games.

It was every bit as lopsided as the score indicated.

Twice in the first 10 minutes, the Nittany Lions were called for 5-second calls while they ran their half-court offense. They drew a shot-clock violation in the second half, leading scorer and rebounder Aaron Johnson was held scoreless and had just five rebounds, and backup Brandon Hassell fouled out with 10 minutes left.

Purdue, in contrast, was crisp.

Teague's 3-point shooting helped Purdue take an early 13-1 lead before Penn State made its first basket with 13:30 left in the first half.

The Nittany Lions cut the lead to 28-20 with 4:30 to go, but the Boilermakers closed the half on a 7-0 run to extend the margin to 35-20.

Mike Walker opened the second half with seven straight points for the Nittany Lions to make it 37-27, but Landry's inside game proved too much.

Purdue responded with a 12-0 run to build a 56-31 lead with 12:35 left, and the Nittany Lions never challenged again.
