PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- James Pattman scored 15 points as Florida A&M beat the University of Maryland Eastern Shore 70-57 on Saturday.
Darius Glover and Tony Tate also added 10 points each for the Rattlers (8-13, 6-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
Corey Brown scored a game-high 20 points for the Fighting Hawks (2-20, 1-12 MEAC) in the loss. Tim Parham got his 10th double-double in 13 games with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Florida A&M started the game on a 7-0 run, until Aly Samabaly hit a 3-pointer to start the scoring for the Fighting Hawks at the two-minute mark.
UMES got their first lead of the game at 17-14 when Jareem Dowling hit a 3-pointer with 9:26 left in the first half.
But Florida A&M never lost the lead in the second half, often leading by as much as 19 points. UMES closed to within 11 at 3:14 left in the game but got no closer.
