BOISE, Idaho (AP) Jermaine Blackburn scored a career-high 26 points and Coby Karl added 15 to lead Boise State to an 82-68 victory over Fresno State Saturday.
Boise State (10-14, 4-9 WAC) outscored the Bulldogs 13-3 in the final 4:43 to break a five-game conference losing skid.
Fresno State (13-9, 7-6), which never led in the game, was paced by JaVance Coleman with 21 points, while Chris Berry added 14.
Boise State led 38-29 at halftime, but the Bulldogs narrowed that advantage to 69-65 with 4:43 left on a field goal by Mustafa Al-Sayyad and two free throws by Coleman.
But Karl answered with seven points in the final three minutes to save the Boise State victory. Karl also had a career-high eight assists.
Al-Sayyad, who entered the game as conference leader in blocked shots and second in field-goal percentage, spent much of it on the bench in early foul trouble. He finished with eight points and nine rebounds.
