NEW YORK (AP) -- Freshman Bryant Dunston had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Fordham to a 63-56 victory over Massachusetts on Saturday.
Jermaine Anderson had 16 points for the Rams (10-12, 6-5 Atlantic 10), while Marcus Stout added 12.
Rashaun Freeman was 13-of-18 from the field and had 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Minutemen (12-9, 6-5).
After Freeman's jumper got Massachusetts within 22-19 at 5:45 of the opening half, Anderson hit a 3-pointer to key the Rams' 7-0 run to close the half.
Stephane Lasme's jumper closed out Massachusetts' 6-0 run to open the second half and cut the deficit to 29-25.
Fordham gained its largest lead of the game, 41-32, on Dunston's jumper with 13:14 left. UMass rallied to move within 57-54 with 52 seconds left, but Fordham ended the game on a 6-2 run, capped by two free throws by Stout with 3 seconds remaining.
