BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Bryan Boerjan was perfect in six field goal attempts for 14 points, leading Samford to a 73-44 rout of Morehead State on Saturday.
J. Robert Merritt, who hit 3-of-9 from behind the arc, scored 13 points and Randall Gulina added 12 for the Bulldogs (14-9, 9-3 Ohio Valley Conference). Jerry Smith had a game-high five assists.
Josh Reed led Morehead State (10-13, 4-8) with 11 points.
The Bulldogs hit 68 percent of their halftime shots to take a 43-18 halftime lead. Samford, which held Morehead State to 48.7 percent shooting, hit 52.1 percent of their shots overall.
The Bulldogs also shot 10 of 26 3-pointers as a team.
