KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Levi Rost scored a game-high 22 points to lead Western Michigan to a 90-70 victory over Marshall on Saturday.
Rost finished 7-of-11 to score at least 20 points for the third consecutive game as the Broncos (16-8, 9-5 Mid-American) reached a season-high in points scored and broke a two-game losing streak.
David Anderson's 16 points and seven rebounds led Marshall (5-17, 2-11), which saw a two-game winning streak broken. The Thundering Herd was held to 39.7 percent shooting and seven 3-pointers _ two under its league-leading average.
Ben Reed added 15 points for Western Michigan, Stane's Bufford scored 14 and Joe Reitz had 12.
The Broncos made a season-high 53.1 percent of their shots, with each starter hitting at least three baskets. Rost and Reed hit three 3-pointers apiece and each grabbed a game-leading eight rebounds, leading Western Michigan to a 40-36 advantage on the boards.
Marshall, which had averaged 85.5 points over its previous two games, fell behind 15-4 in the first three minutes and never was able to fully bounce back.
