HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -- Freshman Antoine Agudio and sophomore Loren Stokes each scored 19 points to lead Hofstra to its first-ever victory over North Carolina-Wilmington, 74-68 on Saturday.
Wendell Gibson and Mike Radziewski both had 12 points for the Pride (16-7, 8-6 Colonial Athletic Association), who had lost all eight previous games against the Seahawks.
Stokes had 10 rebounds for Hofstra.
Aaron Coombs and T.J. Carter, who had 11 rebounds, each had 13 points for Wilmington (15-8, 10-4).
The Pride took a 15-4 lead 6:37 into the game on Gibson's three-point play.
The Seahawks responded with a 14-5 run to cut the deficit to 20-18, but Hofstra then outscored the Seahawks 12-1 as Agudio hit two 3s. Agudio was 5-for-8 from 3-point range and the Pride finished 7-for-20 from beyond the arc.
