KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Rawle Marshall scored 24 points to lead Oakland to a 60-50 win over Missouri-Kansas City Saturday night.
Quinton Day scored two free throws to give UMKC (12-9,9-2 Mid-Continent) its second lead of the night at 41-39.
But Marshall converted back-to-back three-point plays as Oakland (7-15,5-6) scored the next 11 points to take control.
The Kangaroos went more than five minutes without scoring after Day's two free throws. Tim Blackwell broke the drought with a short jumper with 3:13 left to make it 50-43.
The Golden Grizzlies made just six of 16 free throws in the last 3:13.
Oakland jumped out quickly to an 18-4 lead and led 26-21 at halftime. Both teams had scoreless streaks of more than six minutes in the first half.
Cortney Scott added 18 points and had nine rebounds for Oakland.
Blackwell led the Kangaroos with 14 points, Day added 12 and Carlton Aaron had 11 rebounds.
Oakland held UMKC to 33 percent from the field and a season-low 50 points.
