NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Alex Loughton and Isaiah Hunter turned it on during the second half to score 25 apiece in Old Dominion's 82-76 win over Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday.
Loughton scored 12 of his 25 in the second half, and Hunter added 17 of his 25 after the break for Old Dominion (23-3, 13-1 Colonial Athletic Association), which won its fifth straight. Arnaud Dahi scored 18, although 14 of those came in the first half.
Nick George had 19 points for VCU (13-10, 9-5), while Michael Doles and B.A. Walker had 15 each.
VCU cut a 13-point Old Dominion lead down to two in the first five minutes of the second half. It remained close until an 8-0 Old Dominion run put the Monarchs up by 11 with 3:02 left.
