WASHINGTON (AP)_ Jeff Green scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds and Brandon Bowman added 15 points to lead Georgetown to a 67-60 win over West Virginia Saturday.

The Hoyas (16-6, 8-3 Big East) beat West Virginia (14-8, 4-7) for the seventh time in nine games by going on a late 7-0 run and holding off a late rally by the Mountaineers.

Kevin Pittsnogle scored 10 for West Virginia, which trailed 61-54 with 1:26 to play after the Georgetown spurt. John Beilein hit a 3-pointer and Tyrone Sally made a layup to cut it to 61-59 with 30 seconds left. The Mountaineers had a chance to foul Georgetown guard Ray Reed _ a 61 percent free throw shooter in the backcourt _ but instead Reed beat the pressure with a pass ahead to Green, who found Bowman cutting to the rim for a layup.

The Hoyas, who shot 56 percent in the game, held West Virginia to just a free throw the rest of the way.

Green and Bowman combined for 27 in the second half, and during one 11-minute stretch scored all 20 of Georgetown's points to help the Hoyas take a 52-48 lead with 6:33 to play.

Beilein tied the game at 54 with a 3-pointer for West Virginia, which led 29-26 at halftime and forced Georgetown into 18 turnovers. However, the Mountaineers went more than four minutes in between 3-pointers from Beilein to allow Georgetown to make its late push.

Ashanti Cook had 12 points for the Hoyas, who outrebounded West Virginia 34-25.
