WASHINGTON (AP) -- T.J. Thompson scored 19 points and George Washington overcame an 11 point deficit in the second half to beat Fordham 80-70 Wednesday night.
Pops Mensah-Bonsu came off the bench to score 15 for the Colonials (16-5, 8-3 Atlantic 10), who remained in first place in the West Division.
Jermaine Anderson had 18 points to lead Fordham (10-13, 6-6), which led 55-45 with 12:38 to play.
George Washington responded with 12 unanswered points, regaining the lead 57-55 on Thompson's 3-pointer with 8 minutes remaining.
Fordham took its first lead just before halftime on Sebastian Greene's 3-pointer and led at 39-35 at the half after shooting 51 percent from the field.
Mike Hall, J.R. Pinnock and Omar Williams each added 11 points for George Washington.
Fordham's Bryant Dunston finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
