WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Corey Cofield scored 19 points in the second half and 24 on the night to lead William and Mary over James Madison 80-54 Wednesday.
William and Mary (6-18, 2-13 Colonial Athletic Association) turned it on in the second half, with runs of 9-0, 8-0 and 13-3 to go ahead by as many as 29 after leading by only seven at the break. The Tribe shot 52.2 percent in the second half and held James Madison to eight field goals.
Ray Barbosa was the only player in double digits for James Madison (4-19, 2-13), with 19 points. The Dukes were outrebounded 39-26, and committed 27 personal fouls, leading to 29 Tribe points.
Laimis Kisielius scored 12 on the night for the Tribe, nine of those in the second half.
