NEW YORK (AP) -- Freshman forward C.J. Anderson scored 22 points and Manhattan never trailed in routing Loyola (Md.) 77-61 Wednesday night.
The Jaspers (13-11, 8-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) took command by scoring 17 of the last 21 points in the first for a 40-23 lead. Peter Mulligan, who finished with 17 points, capped that run by making two 3-pointers.
Manhattan opened the second half with a 14-2 run. A layup by freshman guard Jeff Xavier made it 54-25 with 16:25 left.
Loyola (6-18, 5-10) was held to one field goal in the opening 4:58 of the second half before Sean Corrigan's 3-pointer made it 54-29.
Corrigan finished with 14 points for the Greyhounds.
Freshman center Arturo Dubois had 17 points and seven rebounds for Manhattan, which forced 24 turnovers.
