VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) -- Schafer Jackson scored 26 points to lead Binghamton to a 61-51 win over Maryland-Baltimore County Wednesday night.
Binghamton was up 24-14 at halftime, but UMBC used a 17-7 run to tie the game at 31-31 with 11:48 to play.
Jackson responded with two of his six 3-pointers, and another from Andre Heard gave Binghamton the lead for good, 40-31. Sebastian Hermenier made five free throws in the final minute to seal the win. He finished with 10 points.
Alex Adediran added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Bearcats (10-14, 7-8 America East), who have won five straight.
Brian Hodges led the Retrievers (9-15, 4-11) with 17 points. Cory McJimson added 15.
